About Us

SCCUL Enterprises CLG who manage The SCCUL Enterprise Centre, Ballybane is a registered charity set up by but independent to St. Columba’s Credit Union, Galway in 2000. As a not for profit, social enterprise, SCCUL aims to champion societal change by promoting community, enterprise, wellbeing and social inclusion. Since its establishment, SCCUL has initiated and developed many projects in pursuit of its mission.

At the SCCUL Enterprise Centre, Ballybane, we believe in providing local enterprises with the opportunity to develop and grow. The Centre provides affordable space and support services. Through the operation of a two-tier social inclusion model, as a not for profit, SCCUL uses income generated from commercial interactions to offset the cost associated with the provision of support services such as bizmentors. The SCCUL Enterprise Centre strives to encourage the establishment and growth of start-ups, small and medium sized businesses along with a keen focus on supporting Social Enterprises.

The Centre was built in 2007 and comprises of 18 independent business units, shared office space with 16 hot desks, a number of conference rooms, a holistic counselling suite and a shared canteen.
